Writing

Writing a reflection about my trip to the kotel at a great lookout over Jerusalem.

It is amazing what you can do with just a pencil and paper. Although some say a picture is worth a thousand words, there are some things which can only be expressed in written form, and writing is an art in itself. I write regularly for the Philadelphia Jewish Voice and I am the editor of the Philadelphia Jewish Voice Teen Column. In addition, I enjoy writing poetry and writing in calligraphy.

My biggest regular writing project is the journal I am making for my sister Rachel. Before she was born, I went to different stores looking for a good baby album, but none satisfied me. Instead, I chose to write everything down in a journal, from her first baby bottle to her first words and everything in between. I completed the first journal of her first two years, and it is about 200 pages. I have just started the second one for age two and on. Writing is a great way to explore thoughts and ideas, and I really do enjoy it.
